Simparica Chewable tablet is a remarkable monthly flea and tick treatment for dogs and puppies. It has been designed in a small, tasty liver- flavored chewable tablet with an active ingredient, sarolaner. It is indicated for the effective control of fleas and ticks. The potent chewable tablet kills adult fleas and offers protection against flea infestations (ctenocephalides felis) and tick infestations. It starts killing fleas within 3 hours and eradicates ticks within 8 hours, including Lone Star tick, Gulf-Coast tick, American Dog tick, Black-legged tick and Brown Dog tick. This potent chewable tablet provides immediate and persistent killing activity for 35 days (acting beyond the monthly treatment duration) and is safe for dogs from 6 months of age and weighing 2.8 lbs or more.
How does Simparica Chewable Tablets work?
Simparica is a great tasting chew. It contains the powerful ingredient – sarolaner. It is an acaricide and insecticide belonging to the isoxazoline group. It seeps into the blood stream and inhibits the function of the neurotransmitter gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor and glutamate receptor working at the neuromuscular junction insects and safely delivers persistent continuous protection against fleas and ticks for up to 35 days. This results in uncontrolled neuromuscular activity leading to death in insects or acarines.
