Directions
- As it contains 20% ethanol, it should be diluted before giving it to your pet.
- Although water is the preferred delivery method, milk can be used if your pet is unable to tolerate water.
- As a last resort, you can offer a small treat as a reward, however, this may reduce the product's effectiveness.
- When you are ready to provide the product to your pet directly through the mouth, dilute it with clean water and set it alone for a few minutes to allow the alcohol to vaporize.
- You can then administer the recommended dose of the diluted substance directly into the patient's mouth with a clean, dry plastic spoon or syringe.
Recommended Doses and Frequency:
- For acute epilepsy or head injuries: Give the recommended dose every 30 minutes for 4 doses. Then give a dose every 3 hours for 3 doses. Thereafter reduce the frequency to 3 times daily until symptoms are under control.
- For chronic problems: Give the recommended dose three times daily.
