Drontal Dewormer for Dogs (Tablets)
An excellent dewormer – Drontal helps to treat hookworms, tapeworms, whipworms and roundworms in dogs. This broad-spectrum dewormer kills and prevents intestinal worms from infecting dogs.
How does it works
Drontal is a scientifically proven formula with key ingredients - praziquantel, pyrantel pamoate and febantel. Praziquantel works by damaging the parasite’s skin internally, so the parasite disintegrates and is removed by the pet’s immune system. Active against hookworms and ascarids, Pyrantel pamoate acts as a depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent. This causes sudden contraction followed by paralysis. This makes hookworms lose their grip on the intestinal wall and is removed from the pet’s system by natural process. Febantel is active against nematode parasites including whipworms. Thus, Drontal acts on all worms and removes them.
Drontal Dewormer for Puppies (Liquid)
Easy to administer oral suspension for puppies – It effectively eliminates roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms in young dogs and puppies up to 1 year of age.
How does it works
Drontal Oral Suspension is a broad-spectrum dewormer formulated with the two active ingredients, febantel and pyrantel pamoate. Both these ingredients works actively against intestinal worms and eliminates them from the dog’s digestive system.

Note: Drontal tablets will be shipped with pack insert in sealed polythene. One tablet quantity does not mean one bottle.

- For Drontal (tablets) - Remove the tablet from the pack and administer it directly into the mouth.
- You can even crush it and mix it with food.
- For Drontal (Liquid) – Shake bottle before use
- It can be given directly or mixed with the food
- The minimum recommended dose is 1ml per kg body weight
- Give an individual measured dose at 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks of age
- After 6 months of age, give an individual measured dose every 3 months
- No dietary measure needed before or after the treatment

Drontal Plus For Puppies and Small Dogs* (2-25 lbs.)
- 2.0– 4 lbs bodyweight = 0.5 Tablet
- 5.0–7.0 lbs bodyweight = 1 Tablet
- 8–12 lbs bodyweight = 1.5 Tablets
- 13–18 lbs bodyweight = 2 Tablets
- 19-25 lbs bodyweight = 2.5 Tablets
*Not for use in puppies less than 3 weeks of age and/or weighing less than 2 lbs.
Drontal Plus For Medium Dogs (26-60 lbs.)
- 26–30 lbs bodyweight = 1 Tablet
- 3– 44 lbs bodyweight = 1.5 Tablet
- 45-60 lbs bodyweight = 2 Tablets
Drontal Plus For Large Dogs (45 lbs. and greater)
- 45-60 lbs. bodyweight = 1 tablet
- 61-90 lbs. bodyweight = 1.5 Tablets
- 91-120 lbs. bodyweight = 2 Tablets
- This product is for animal use only
- Should not be given to any other animal than that which it is stated for.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Wash hands after administering the tablet.
- Consult a vet before treating a pregnant dog.
- If not sure about the usage of the product, consult your vet.
- As humans can contract tapeworm from animals, it is important to take strict hygienic precautions.
- Daily clean up stools to avoid re-infection.
Contraindications
- Avoid treatment with Drontal to dogs allergic to it or any of its individual ingredients.
- Do not give Drontal to your pet if already treating with an alternative dewormer unless advised by your vet.

I have a dog who has a litter I have noticed tapeworms in her feces? What item should I use for the puppies. I see the ingredients in the worming suspension is not the same as the pill. I have been deworming pups with panacur at 2 wks and 4 wks they will be 5 wks tomorrow. I see and read Panacur doesnt treat all tapeworms. I am planning on getting drontal plus for all my dogs
