Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health’s newest product, NexGard Combo, is an expanded version of its popular NexGard series. It is the first and only spot-on product for cats that offers the broadest protection against multiple internal and external parasites, including adult fleas, flea eggs, ticks, heartworms, hookworms, roundworms, lungworms, vesical worms, and tapeworms. It can also be used for the prevention of heartworms. This revolutionary NexGard Combo is suitable for use on kittens from as early as eight weeks of age.

How it works?

The new NexGard Combo is formulated using isoxazoline-based endectocide for cats. Its interesting trio of active ingredients includes Esafoxolaner, eprinomectin, and praziquantel. Esafoxolaner eliminates external parasites that live on a cat’s skin, fur, or ears by disrupting the insect’s neurotransmission. On the other hand, eprinomectin and praziquantel work on internal parasites that find a home in a cat’s body. Eprinomectin kills roundworms by causing paralysis, whereas praziquantel disrupts the cell membranes of tapeworms, causing their death. Hence, the joint action of this powerful trio makes NexGard Combo a perfect product to keep your cat healthy.
